Hello, My name is Jared Carlson

I’m a licensed and insured heating and air conditioning service provider. I walk with homeowners as they navigate the seemingly daunting task of replacing their older furnace and or air conditioning unit.

I’ve personally installed hundreds of systems during my 9 years in the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) industry. My company’s lean structure and focus on furnace and AC replacements will save you $1000’s.

When you choose Premier, you’ll be working directly with me, the owner. Thank you for considering my story as you carefully research and select your preferred service provider.

When it’s time to replace that old equipment and reclaim the joy of homeownership,

Premier knows the way

Designed obsolescence is real

They actually don’t make things the way they used to. I’ve removed furnaces and ACs that lasted over 50 years, only to install equipment with a designed lifespan of 15-20 years. Whether intentional, or not, today’s HVAC equipment has an established pattern of lasting long enough so no one complains, but not so long that repeat business dries up. Consequently, as equipment ages past the 15-year mark, the law of diminishing returns goes into high gear.

Repairs over $300 on older units may not be recuperated over multiple useful seasons.

Expensive component failures looming over aged equipment is a bad recipe. Circuit boards, blower motors, gas valves, and compressors are some of the big-ticket repairs ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars each. Paying a repairman to limp your older unit along can cost you more in the long run.

Allowing good money to chase after bad isn’t a long-term solution.

Making Sense of the Numbers

Consider this example: if your older furnace is costing you an average of $400 a year in repairs, that investment won’t significantly distance the unit from permanent failure. If you were, instead, to purchase a new furnace for $4000 with a full 10-year labor and parts warranty coverage, you’d create long-term peace of mind while spending the same amount, if not less, over the next 10 years.

Remember, your home will also appreciate the equity boost the new HVAC equipment brings to the table.

The above graph compares a client who chose to replace their older furnace as it began to age out of its designed dependability, with a client who limped their unit along for 5 more years before eventually replacing it. The client that waited paid thousands more within the 10-year span. Also, consider that yearly inflation, manufacturer price increases, and rising labor costs, all contribute to the likelihood that purchasing the same furnace 5 years down the road will cost more than today.

Equipment lifespan limits mean HVAC replacement is a maximum value, minimum cost decision.

After years of installing the various other brands of equipment out there, I’ve settled on Trane. Trane’s pricing is industry competitive, adding to my clients’ overall savings and added value. And when it comes to dependability, Trane/American Standard has been at the top of the Consumer Reports Dependability list for over a decade. (Trane and American Standard are the same company).

Additionally, Trane owns the patent for the Spine Fin Condenser tubing. Spine Fin condensers boast the most efficient AC condenser yet devised for residential use. The end result is less electricity to accomplish the same work as the competition’s condensers.
